Merry Christmas!

As we come to the end of what is only our first full year of existence, it is worth reflecting on what we have achieved since January. We have had several signing, litter-picking and other workdays on the Nutbrook Trail and on Route 6 in Notts. We have worked with other groups in their areas and gone on their rides (Derby, Worksop, Newark). Amongst our own rides, we had a trail-blazing ride along the path we think Route 67 is going to take north of Heanor (in April), a Fresh Air Miles ride (September) and a ride across France together with ranger friends from other groups (May). We attended a number of events run by outside organizations. There was the official opening of part of the new Erewash Valley Trail (July) and our involvement in activities concerning the Bennerley Viaduct (more of this elsewhere in the blog). I thank everyone who took part in these activities for all their efforts and wish all our members, readers, followers and contributors a very merry Xmas and happy rangering in 2011!
