London to Paris: the Green Avenue

Happy New Year! And a good rangering 2011 to you all!
A propos of nothing, I thought I'd kick off this new year of cycling information with a French website, af3v.org. If you click on Carte interactive, you will see a map of France showing all the greenways (voies vertes) and cycle routes (véloroutes) in the whole of France. Put it in your Favorites; this is a very useful website, the one we used last spring to ride across a sizeable part of France. Towards the north of the map you will see a greenway between Dieppe and Forges-les-Eaux. Click on this purple line and bring up the Avenue Verte du Pays du Bray (Green Avenue of the Bray Country). Click on the Descriptif tab and scroll down. There are a number of links in orange. Find the one that says Vidéo and click on it. This is a promotional video giving a description (in French) of the "Green Avenue" between the Eifel Tower, Paris and the Tower of London, which should be open in time for the 2012 Olympics. Alternatively, if you scroll another 4 lines further down, click on Blog. This is a description (in English) of the route by a BBC reporter, and includes nine short videos. Have fun!
