Some you win, some you lose.

Hooray! Someone has blocked a hole in the fence near Stanton Lock where 67 joins the Erewash Canal. This will help to keep motorbikes out.

Boo! Someone else has cut a new hole in the fence further up.

And boo! again. This dog waste bin where 672 joins the A609 High Lane East at West Hallam, for which I campaigned long and hard, has been cut down in its prime. It was installed by Erewash Borough Council a few weeks ago. Shipley Country Park (DCC) took an angle grinder to the post because it was preventing access for their large trailer. They needed to get machinery to Pewit Carr to mow the meadow.
I was told that the bin had been installed on DCC land without consultation.
