Workday 06 August

Maldwyn, Mark and Jeff covered the section between Straw's Bridge and Stanton Lock, picking three bags of litter. On the whole the trail was pretty clean. There is a problem next to the new recycling plant at Crompton Road. It is an aggregate recycling plant but there seems to be a lot of plastic mixed in which gets blown through the fence onto the trail. The owners have set a hedge inside the fence which will eventually help to stop the litter blowing through. In the meantime Jeff will ask EBC if they can get the firm to deal with it.

  1. Hi all.

The problem next to the new recycling plant at Crompton Road, could be temporally fixed with netting (or similar) put up against the existing fence. This would stop the rubbish blowing through onto the cycle path. I think that the hedging that has been planted will grow to prevent the problem in the long term.

    Just a thought.

    Mark pears.
