DCC bid for cycling safety money successful

I have just heard from Philip Smith, Senior Transport Officer of Derbyshire County Council's Sustainable  Transport Team that DCC's bid for a slice of the government's road safety money has been successful. This is excellent news! Readers will recall (post of 22 Oct 2012) that the money is to be spent on improving safety on and around two roundabouts in Long Eaton. The total cost will be £600K, of which the government grant is £400K and the rest will be coming from matching funds. To find out more click here.
