This is the blog of the Sustrans Volunteer Rangers group in the Erewash Valley and surrounding area of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. We look after the Nutbrook Trail (NCR67), NCR6 from Hucknall to Clipstone, the Ripley Greenway, Silverhill Trail and Teversal Trails, Blackwell Trail and Timberland Trail. We organize workdays, signing days and rides.

Four go mad at Clipstone!
We had a successful signing and trimming morning in Clipstone Forest yesterday, from Vicar Pond to Rainworth Water (yes, according to the OS map, that's the name of that grotty little stream that flows next to the tunnel you cycle through under the ex-railway line.) We defy anyone to get lost riding NCR6 in this area! This was the last of three fruitful meetings in as many weeks, throughout this month. We intend to continue with Route 6 southwards to our boundary with the Nottingham group's area at Hucknall station, possibly later this autumn. Keep in touch!
