There will be a workday on the Nutbrook Trail on Thursday 26 April. Meet at Shipley Park Visitor Centre at 1230. We will continue from where we left off on 11 April. The main task will be litter picking plus doing other things within our capabilities and making a note of any other issues.
Jeff will supply sacks. Please bring your own litter picker or let Jeff know if you need one.
We'll be heading south through the new DWLT Nature Reserve known as Woodside.
Jeff has multiple copies of the new Ilkeston Cycling Map. If you have any ideas about where they might be distributed please let him know.

Did you get wet Clyde, as we did on our walk? Still enjoyed it. Doscovered new routes around Little Eaton and Duffield. Very hilly though, and a bit muddy.

Hi John. How are you? I got a little wet over the last few days in France, where the weather has not been brilliant lately: showers and temperatures of no more than 12C last week. Temperatures are beginning to rise now (15C today) but there is still rain about - good for the crops! I've still managed to get out a bit on my bike!
ReplyDeleteOur walking group did a portion of the Nutbrook Trail last Thursday, 10th May, and found it very good. Practically no litter, good surface and in general, quite a pleasant stretch. Started at Straws Bridge, West Hallam and ended at Hallam Fields. We picked a dry morning, so we were well pleased. See Derwent Trekkers blog for photos. Sepia ones are mine, having not noticed that I had the setting on sepia! The other three are by another of our walkers. The Erewash was in full spate, but did not intrude on to the trail at any point.
