Ride around Matlock with Peak Cycle Links
I guess most of our readers will already know about the proposed 60-mile loop in the White Peak, promoted by the charity Peak Cycle Links. The idea is to link together some of the trails already in existence by short stretches of road and path, to make a circular route with Buxton in the north and Cromford in the south. The southern end is probably the trickiest bit. We can foresee a link between Buxton and Matlock being realized in the not too distant future, but the route from Matlock to Cromford and the High Peak Trail is not so obvious. PCL has already looked at possibilities, but there might be other routes to explore. We will be joining forces with PCL on a weekend soon to have a look at some of these routes. The date could be Sat 6 April, but watch this space!
