Work days are back again!

Stuart, Jeff and I met yesterday at Shipley Country Park, and we worked our way down from the Thorpe's Road end of the Nutbrook Trail to Coppice House, litter-picking as we went. We collected over a dozen bags of plastic bottles, drink cans and other rubbish and left them to be collected by the Country Park staff. As much as one can judge the age of litter (!), it seemed to us that much of this stuff has been here for some years. Compared with other local authorities in our area, is Amber Valley BC doing enough to keep on top of the litter problem? 
Next workday is Wed 27 Feb. Meet at SCP Visitors' Center 10:00 (the staff there will usually let us into their office to keep warm, while waiting for everyone to turn up!)
