This is the blog of the Sustrans Volunteer Rangers group in the Erewash Valley and surrounding area of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. We look after the Nutbrook Trail (NCR67), NCR6 from Hucknall to Clipstone, the Ripley Greenway, Silverhill Trail and Teversal Trails, Blackwell Trail and Timberland Trail. We organize workdays, signing days and rides.

Workday and meeting Wed 6 March 2013
We've just had two very fruitful workdays on the Nutbrook Trail. We have collected a mass of rubbish and the trail at this northern end looks pristine! We've also done some renewal of signage. Starting at the Heanor end, we got as far as Manor Floods, Ilkeston yesterday and Jeff aims to finish up to Straws Bridge before we reconvene next Wednesday. We will therefore meet at Straws Bridge car park (on the A609 W of Ilkeston, GR 453 413) at 10:00 on 6 March and work further south for an hour or two. After that, we will adjourn to a suitable café in Ilkeston for a meeting, observing on our way the new (and potentially dangerous) yellow box junction outside Ilson fire station. The new Sustrans Volunteer Co-ordinator for our area, Ian Keetley, will be with us throughout the morning.
