Nutbrook Trail Workday, Wednesday 6th November
Today, Jeff and I did a litter pick on the NT from Straws bridge to Sandiacre Lock. The picture shows but a sample of our labours. The amount of litter found along the trail was generally quite low but there were hotspots, notably in the Stanton area where the trail runs alongside various industrial plants and also along the Erewash canal on the northern approach to Sandiacre where some heavy drinking had been going on judging by the number of empty beer cans we found.
We intend to have one more session along route 67 starting at Sandiacre and onwards to Long Eaton and if time permits continuing along the Erewash Trail to Trent Lock. Further details to follow.
