Closure of Erewash Canal Towpath
An article in a recent Derby Telegraph advised that the towpath of the Erewash Canal will be closed from 22nd March to 30th July for "Engineering Work". The section concerned is from Stanton Gate to Derby Road, Long Eaton (i.e. a section of R67). Diversionary routes are to be signed.

Thanks for that info, Peter. These must be the works that I was informed of months ago and were supposd to have started last November (see blog post 31 Oct 2009). The length of time seems about right too - I was advised 20 around weeks. If anyone sees anything happening on the canal, feel free to add a bit to this blog!
