Some pics of our ride last Wednesday

Erewash Valley Rangers enjoyed a highly successful inaugural ride last Wednesday; the weather stayed dry and the sun came out towards the end. Clyde and Maldwyn rode from Long Eaton Asda to Shipley, where they were met by Stuart, and thence to the Silverhill Trail where John was waiting. From there the route followed the Five Pits Trail to Holmewood, by road to Heath, through the Hardwick Hall grounds and on to Pleasley, where we went our separate ways, at least for the time being. We reassembled in the evening at the Railway Inn, Mansfield, where Joyce joined us. Our meeting was lively and covered a number of topics.
Pics show: more new tarmacking on the Erewash Canal towpath at the Tamworth Road bridge, Long Eaton; John and Stuart fixing Stuart's puncture on the Silverhill Trail; John and Maldwyn with Hardwick Hall in the background; a pic I took at Vicar Water just after sunset. Sorry, Joyce, I forgot to take a photo of us all at the Railway Inn - someone remind me next time!
